Slow Food South Bay 2015 Annual Meeting
February 8, 2015 • 3:00 pm — 5:00 pmFree
We hope you will join us for our 2015 SLOW FOOD SOUTH BAY Annual Meeting on Sunday, February 8th. This is a great place to meet fellow Slow Food enthusiasts in our area, or to renew Foodie friendships made at earlier meetings.
We have arranged an interesting and enjoyable program featuring native garden expert Alrie Middlebrook on “Slow Food for a Healthy Planet: how we can make a difference,” with local Slow Food tastings and organizations that complement a gardening, growing your own food” theme.
We’ll have a quick Board election and Chair report as well.
This is a free event for everyone: families and friends, so we encourage you to invite and register interested friends, neighbors and colleagues. And bring the kids!
Local Food Tasting & Sales include:
Chocolates from Snake and Butterfly (Campbell)
Olive oil and Vinegars from Cloud 9 (Monterey County)
Native plants from Middlebrook Center (San Jose)
Fruit and Veggie Farm Stand from Freshness Farms (CSA)
Food samples from Real Food Bay Area (buyers club)
Meats from Belcampo Meats (Palo Alto)
Coffee from Epic Coffee (San Jose)
Beer from Hermitage, Tied House (Palo Alto)
Wine from Epicurean Group (Los Altos)
meet local organizations who support us in the garden and who are shaping our future:
Garden services: StartOrganic (San Jose)
Community garden: Common Ground Garden (Palo Alto)
Seed library: Silicon Valley Grows (San Jose)
Grants and advocacy: Health Trust (San Jose)
Used Cookbook & Food Literature Sale:
Gently used relevant books will be offered at a bargain price. Donations help raise funds for Slow Food South Bay events.
Thank you for your interest in Slow Food USA, and in our South Bay chapter — the Board and leadership team look forward to seeing you on Sunday afternoon, February 8th.
