Terra Madre 2018 Review with Pie Ranch and Slow Food South Bay

Nancy Vail and Jered Lawson of Pie Ranch report on their family’s experience attending Terra Madre 2018, Slow Food’s most comprehensive international gathering.  The week-long event takes place in Turin, Italy every two years, bringing together chefs, farmers, philosophers, policy-makers, cooks and citizens from all over the world.

Come learn about what’s happening in food communities in big cities as well as in remote, indigenous villages.  SFSB Board Chair Scott Vanderlip and his wife Tay also attended Terra Madre 2018 and will add their impressions.  If you want to be inspired, this evening may provide just the motivation you need to become more involved in the mission of Slow Food.
