4th Annual Little Italy Street Festival

Festival Highlights:

  • Authentic Italian Cuisine from Little Italy Businesses and Italian Restaurants located throughout Santa Clara County
  • Fantastic Entertainment lineup including Pasquale Esposito, Vanessa Raci (New York), Anthony Nino Lane Band, Johnny Neri Band, and other authentic Italian Musicians

In addition there will be a wine garden pouring both Italian and Cal-Italia wines, Artisan Italian Craft vendors and Children’s Activities

Free festival and plenty of on-site parking. San Jose Diridon Station is also walking distance for Public Transportation options by Caltrain or VTA Lightrail.

Hoes Down Harvest Fest

The Hoes Down Harvest Festival is dedicated to honoring and promoting the knowledge of agricultural arts and sustainable rural living through inspiration and education. Our goals extend beyond the weekend of fun and education.

Every year, for 30 years, the Hoes Down has generated valuable resources for local and statewide organizations working on projects which benefit sustainable agriculture and rural communities.

Please note that all tickets will be pre-sale this year. There will be no ticket sales at the gate. Our volunteers are updating the Hoes Down web site. Please check there for more information.

Taste of the Mountains Menlo Park

The Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Association presents the Taste of the Mountains Wine Walk on Saturday, June 1 in Downtown Menlo Park from 2-5:30pm. All ticket proceeds from the event will benefit the Menlo Park Atherton Education Foundation. Enjoy wines from small, local boutique wineries of the Santa Cruz Mountains poured in various designated tasting locations up and down Santa Cruz Avenue. Check in for your wristband, glass, and a map of the pouring locations – then enjoy an afternoon of tasting and discovering. Purchase your favorites from the bottle booth and Stay downtown for a dinner or movie to follow!

Silicon Valley Wine Auction Grand Tasting

Sip, sample and bid! Meander Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga, enjoy an individual picnic lunch as you taste over 150 wines from 40+ Santa Cruz Mountains vintners, and bid on over 200 wine lots in the silent auction.  Launched in 2015 by the Santa Cruz Mountains Winegrowers Education Foundation, the Silicon Valley Wine Auction showcases the diversity of the valley – from a long a storied history of pioneering vintners of making local wine – to a social innovation ethos that champions transformative education. Now in its 5th successful year, the Silicon Valley Wine Auction has raised over $3.7 M to support innovative programs, initiatives, and activities benefiting children in our community.

A Taste of Italy

Join Draeger’s Market in Menlo Park for a grand tasting of memorable Italian wines. Your ticket includes tastes of all the 30-35 wines and assorted artisanal cheeses provided by our expert Cheesemonger Patricia Hughes.   A 20% discount will be applied to all of the tasting wines purchased that day or any pre-sell wines picked up later.

Passport Celebration Day – Santa Cruz Mountains

Four times a year, on the third Saturday of January, April, July and November, the wine growing community of the Santa Cruz Mountains comes together to celebrate the generations of farmers, vintners and families that are the roots of this unique mountainous region. The possibilities are as varied as the wineries themselves and promise a fun, unforgettable experience.

With your SCM Wine Passport you can visit participating wineries 365 days per year during winery hours of operation as well as on Passport Celebration Days. Passport holders are welcomed into more than 40+ participating wineries throughout the Santa Cruz Mountains, to redeem a tasting flight.

Tastes & Tales of Terra Madre Dinner – Sonoma

Join the Slow Food Sonoma County North Chapter for their bi-annual, Tastes & Tales of Terra Madre Dinner to celebrate Slow Food and their chapter’s delegates to Italy’s Terra Madre in 2018! Three delegates represented Sonoma County North: Kathy Matonak (chapter leader), Kelly Osman (Oz Family Farms), and Ellen Shick (food writer). Come join us as we hear Tales of their adventures and have Tastes that are inspired by this international food event.

Zanotto’s Wine Night – Willow Glen

Zanotto’s April Wine Night featuring Patz & Hall and Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars.  Light hors d’oeuvres will be paired with the tastings.  Tickets are limited and must be purchased in advance.

Farm to Fork to Film – Dinner & Film Celebrating Women in Food

Join Filmmaker Joanna James, Slow Food San Francisco, and host Airbnb for an evening of food, film, and friends celebrating female heroes in the food system. This special advanced screening is part of an 11-State Screening Tribute Tour of A Fine Line, in honor of Women’s History Month. Being recognized will be the tremendous work of Tanya Holland, award-winning chef, author, and Oakland restaurateur of Brown Sugar Kitchen; winemaker Kim Nicholls of Markham Winery, winemaker Heidi Bridenhagen of MacRostie Winery.

Mead Making Workshop

Learn to brew your own personal, one of a kind Mead/wine. Raw honey and all the equipment is included with hands on instruction. The opportunity is yours to learn with us and make a quality mead. All the brewing equipment is cleanable and ready for use again when brewing is complete.
